- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap that eliminates the draw outcome and gives a half or quarter goal advantage to one team.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting and sticking to a budget for betting, deciding how much to wager per bet.
- Bookmaker
- A company or person that sets odds and accepts bets on sports events.
- Both Teams To Score
- A bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet before the match ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct Score
- A bet predicting the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (home win, draw, or away win) in a single wager.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet that returns your stake if the match ends in a draw, otherwise you win if your chosen team wins.
- Expected Value (EV)
- The average amount you can expect to win or lose per bet if you placed the same bet many times.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in the match.
- Free Bet
- A promotional bet credited by a bookmaker that allows you to place a wager without using your own money.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing a bet on a match while it is already in progress, with odds that change as the game unfolds.
- Matched Betting
- Using free bets and promotions to create a risk-free profit by covering all outcomes of a bet.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown as a positive or negative number.
- No Deposit Bonus
- A bonus credited just for signing up, letting you bet without making a deposit.
- Odds Comparison
- The process of checking the odds offered by different bookmakers to find the best value for a bet.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be more or less than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that combines two or more selections, and all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the underdog team to make the bet more even, expressed as a number of goals.
- Rollover Requirement
- The number of times you must bet the bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard amount of money used to measure the size of a bet, usually a percentage of your bankroll.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, suggesting a positive expected return.
- Vig
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker charges for taking a bet, included in the odds.
